Profile

József Petrik, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Haematology. He is the Head of the Center for Applied Medical Biochemistry and a medical biochemistry specialist. He teaches the following graduate courses: General Clinical Biochemistry, Clinical Biochemistry with Haematology, Clinical Biochemistry of Organs and Organ Systems 1,  Integrated Laboratory Diagnostics Course -Laboratory Results Interpretation and Cells and Cell Lines Cultivation. He also teaches the postgraduate courses: Apoptosis - Detection and Quantification and postgraduate specialist course in Clinical Pharmacy: Drugs and Laboratory Tests. His main field of scientific research focuses on mechanisms of cellular damage, apoptosis, molecular pathology, diagnosis of malignant diseases, cytokines, endothelins, oxidative stress, mycotoxins, and nanotechnology.
