Profile

Renata Zadro, PhD, specialist in medical biochemistry and laboratory medicine, is employed as full professor at Department of Medical Biochemistry and Hematology and as head of a clinical unit at Department of Laboratory Diagnostics, University Hospital Center Zagreb. She is leader of the undergraduate study courses Coagulation, Hematology I and Transfusiology with Immunohematology. In doctoral studies of pharmaceutical-biochemical sciences, she is leader of the course Novelties in Laboratory Diagnostics of Coagulation Disorders, while in specialist studies entitled Medical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine she is leader of the course Novelties in Laboratory Hematology and Immunohematology. She participates as a collaborator in graduate study courses Hematology II, Molecular Diagnostics, Medical Biochemistry with Hematology, and in doctoral studies in the course Diagnostics of Malignant Tumors. Basic area of her research and professional activities is molecular basis of malignant hematological diseases, and standardization of molecular monitoring procedures in the therapy of hematological patients; molecular basis of coagulation disorders, particularly correlation between gene polymorphisms and cerebrovascular disorders in children.
