Faculty Council members

The supreme body of the Faculty’s management structure is the Faculty Council which consists of all staff members elected to academic titles who work at the Faculty at least 80% of their working hours and all senior assistants with a doctorate degree. Staff member representatives holding academic titles who work at the Faculty less than 80% of their working hours and assistant representatives are elected in the following way: both groups of staff make up a constituency each, from which they choose and elect their representatives. The Dean convenes all staff members who work at the Faculty less than 80% of their working hours and all assistants, who then propose candidates from amongst themselves electing them as members of the Faculty Council by secret ballot. Graduate students make up 10% of the total number of Faculty Council members and postgraduate students make up 5%, and are elected in accordance with the Act on Students’ Union and Other Student Organisations and the Ordinance on Elections to the Students’ Union of the University of Zagreb and Student Assemblies of the Constituent Faculties of the University of Zagreb.
